Abiding Word Church offers several educational classes to fit the diverse needs of our congregation and community. Informative Life Groups and Classes are available to everyone. Life Groups | Team 101 | Partners 201 | Purpose 301 | Destiny 401
CLASS 101-401
Imagine a baseball diamond. At first base is our TEAM (101) CLASS which covers what we believe, how we operate, and the history of our church. Then, head to second base which is PARTNERS (201) which shows you how to develop the habits necessary to have a closer relationship with Jesus Christ and live a successful life. Then third base PURPOSE (301) where you find out how God has shaped you for ministry and how to identify your unique gifts He has given you. As you head for home plate DESTINY (401) this class will help you discover how to share to share God in your world. These classes are held on a quarterly basis on a Sunday afternoon from 3:30pm.-7:30pm. with dinner being served at 5:30pm. Because of the length of the class no child care is available.
LIFEGROUPS
We realize that people have diverse needs in our congregation and community, so we have all types of LIFE groups. We are sensitive to the busyness of today’s families, couples, and singles. With this in mind, we have designed LIFE groups to be short-term groups that run on a semester basis and meet for 1 – 2 hours. We have groups available for your various schedules. Our LIFE groups are subdivided into LIFESTYLE groups, LIFELINE groups, LIFESAVER groups, and LIFEFORCE groups.
LIFESTYLE GROUPS (topical)
These study groups meet together to discuss things we face in our everyday life including parenting, finances, being single, women’s issues, men’s issues, relationships and work.
LIFELINE GROUPS (recovery)
These support groups meet to address specific needs, hardships or struggles. They are for support, ministry and opportunities for sharing and prayer.
LIFESAVER GROUPS (Discipleship)
These groups are designed to help new and mature Christians understand the truths and principals in God’s Word.
LIFEFORCE GROUPS (fellowship)
These groups are for fun, fellowship, common interests, and to help develop relationships. Come hang out and have a great time.
